Peak to Coast: The Corsica Teen Expedition

Please read this agreement carefully before signing.
By submitting the registration form you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Participation Agreement & Liability Waiver.
1. Program Description
The Peak to Coast: Corsica Teen Expedition is a multi-day international travel and outdoor adventure program for teenagers, including but not limited to: international flights, local transportation, hiking on the GR20 South in Corsica, lodging in hotels, mountain refuges, and a seaside house, swimming, walking in villages, and other group activities.
2. Acknowledgment of Risk
I understand that participation in this program involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Hiking on uneven, rocky, steep, or exposed terrain

Weather changes (heat, cold, rain, wind, storms)

Travel by airplane, bus, train, van, or other vehicles
-
Lodging in shared and/or rustic accommodations
-
Physical exertion, dehydration, altitude effects, fatigue, muscle strain
-
Slips, falls, collisions, and other accidents
-
Limited or delayed access to medical care in remote areas
I understand that these risks cannot be completely eliminated without changing the essential nature of the program.
3. Assumption of Risk
I voluntarily choose to allow my child to participate in the program, fully aware of its nature and risks.
I accept and assume all risks of injury, illness, accident, loss, or harm, whether known or unknown, that may arise from or be related to my child’s participation, including risks that may be caused in whole or in part by the actions or omissions of other participants, guides, or leaders.
4. Release of Liability
In consideration of my child being permitted to participate in this program, I, on behalf of myself, my child, and our heirs and legal representatives, hereby release, waive, and discharge:
Teen Expedition LLC, its owner, officers, employees, trip leaders (including but not limited to Hortense Saget Everett and Lauren Allen), independent contractors, guides, and partner organizations from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for:

Personal injury or illness

Death
-
Property loss or damage
-
Emotional distress
-
Any other loss or harm
arising out of or related to my child’s participation in the program, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct under applicable law.
5. Medical Authorization
I certify that my child is in suitable health to participate in the program’s activities or that I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions to Teen Expedition, LLC in writing.
In the event of injury or illness, I authorize the trip leaders and guides to obtain or provide emergency medical treatment for my child, including transportation and care by medical professionals. I agree that I am responsible for all associated costs not covered by insurance.
6. Behavioral Expectations
I understand that my child is expected to:

Follow instructions from trip leaders and guides

Behave respectfully toward peers, staff, and local communities
-
Participate in group activities and responsibilities
-
Refrain from unsafe, illegal, or disruptive behavior

Respect all policies regarding technology, curfew, and conduct
I understand that failure to uphold these expectations may result in my child being removed from the program and sent home at my expense, without refund.
7. Insurance
I understand that the program includes travel/emergency insurance as described in the program materials. I acknowledge that additional personal or health insurance may be advisable and that I am responsible for understanding the coverage provided.
8. Photography & Media Release
I grant permission for my child to be photographed and/or recorded during the program, and for these images (without full names) to be used in trip communications with families and in future promotional materials for Teen Expedition, LLC.
I understand I may request in writing that my child not appear in promotional materials.
9. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho.
